San Gaudenzio is one of the great Late Gothic church buildings in Graubünden. It follows the classical style with a single nave and indented polygonal choir. The vaults have collapsed, but the outer walls have mostly survived. They showcase an extraordinary width and height of space, elegant lancet windows with filigree fillings (tracery) as well as precise stonework.
On the north wall of the choir is a broken sacrament niche bordered with tuff; the empty stone sarcophagus of St. Gaudenzio protrudes from the northern inclined wall. In the entrance wall there is a six petal rose window, and above it, parts of a belfry wall. In front of the church, there are preserved remains of the vestibule wall, the sacristy and hospice.
